Welcome to the Big Blue SPOT!
|
Thanks for visiting our site. SPOT is comprised of Swampscott, MA residents who have come together to create a year round, safe environment where Swampscott’s 700+ registered dogs can exercise and socialize. We are an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
SPOT stands for Swampscott Park for Off-Leash Time. Why the Big Blue? Our town’s energetic high school teams are named Big Blue, and we would like our park to reflect the same energy and enthusiasm.
Want to help SPOT run? We welcome any new members to our group who are as eager as we are to move our project forward.
Letter to the Editor
A letter to the Editor opposing the dog park appeared in the August 25th Swampscott Reporter. SPOT believes we can work with residents and the town alike to address concerns, answer questions, and create a park that will be an asset for Swampscott.

A Big Thank You
SPOT would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has so generously donated toward our dog park, from Petco to the regular folks who just want a place to bring their dogs. You have put us over the $30,000 mark! Your generosity is greatly appreciated by all of us here at SPOT as well as, we're sure, all the local dogs who can hardly wait to see their new place to play.
